The week of Labor Day brings preemptions to CBS, NBC and ABC daytime.
On Labor Day, September 1, 2014, CBS won't be airing "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Young and the Restless" as U.S. Open Tennis from Flushing Meadows, New York like it has been for many years. On Friday, CBS will also have tennis on instead of soaps. NBC won't be showing "Days of Our Lives" for PGA Golf coverage in the afternoon. ABC has "General Hospital" on the schedule, but due to the holiday is airing a rerun.
If you are a fan of tennis or golf, Labor Day is a great day for television viewing. If you aren't a fan of either sport and are at home, perhaps you can visit with friends or family or binge watch something new.
