B&B: The Fight Over Forrester Creations 2014

Wanted to write a bit about the latest fight over Forrester Creations as Ridge tried to overthrow Rick in his role as president. Eric didn't agree to it, but perhaps it isn't the last we'll see of this struggle on "The Bold and the Beautiful".

Without discussing it with anyone at the company, Ridge made the executive decision to fire Oliver. He felt the photographer's style didn't live up to expectations. In front of the board who were in LA, he stated that Oliver needed to go as his shots didn't match the couture line. He usurped Rick and Eric by not stating his intentions. Ridge was the only one who had issues with Oliver's work, so I wonder if it is an older score. I wish someone had asked Ridge if he was going after Oliver for his one-time only shag with Brooke at Hope's birthday party all those years ago. If that was why Ridge was behaving the way he was, I'd get it. Ridge and Rick were rivals for years, but seemed to get along again. I think that Ridge falling for Katie and dumping Brooke makes Rick hate him again.

Brooke intervened and told Eric everything that Ridge has been up to including how Ridge has fallen in love with Katie. Eric seemed horrified by Ridge's actions and came up with a new plan. He announced that Ridge and Brooke would be new co-vice presidents of the company. Later while alone with Ridge, it became clear that somehow Eric has become the largest Brooke and Ridge shipper known to man. He wants them to be the showcase couple of the company and would be willing to hand it over to Ridge if he was back with Brooke.

For now, Rick is still in his position as president of the company. Hope for the Future is going to remain the same for the time being though Ridge does make a point that it seems like a separate company from the couture line. Oliver got his job back, though it seems like his play for Aly could be more about job security than actual feelings for the girl. For now, Ridge is staying with Katie, and Brooke got back together with Bill.

I hope that the next time there is a fight for Forrester there is more conflict among the characters. It was a solved a little too quickly, so I hope it is revisited later in 2014.
