B&B: Bill's Plan Backfires?

Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) saw his life flash before his eyes while visiting Aspen on "The Bold & the Beautiful". He chose to make a change and the decision will have repercussions. Below are my thoughts on this story through the episode that aired on November 14, 2013.

Bill and Katie's (Heather Tom) marriage started to fall apart after she got pregnant. They went back and forth, and Bill wouldn't give up on her. Katie even pushed Bill towards her older sister Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Eventually Bill and Brooke developed romantic feelings for one another. Katie got upset with Bill's drinking and told him it was over, and Bill and Brooke slept together. Once Katie found out what happened between them, she wanted a divorce.

As part of her divorce settlement, Katie got 1% of Spencer Publications. Along with the 50% that Bill's sister Karen (Joanna Johnson) owned, they overthrew Bill. Katie was made CEO and Bill was left on the sidelines. While Bill had Brooke in his life, he lost his beloved company. Brooke's relationship with Bill caused strife obviously.

Brooke and Bill decided to be together regardless of what anyone else thought. While on their climbing trip in Aspen, Bill nearly fell off a cliff and after that he decided he would get everything he wanted: the company and Brooke. Instead of being honest with Brooke about his plan, he broke up with her. Katie was stunned that Bill wanted her back and eventually agreed. He was able to convince her to sign papers that gave him 50/50 custody of their son Will, and control of the company. Once the legal documents were signed, Bill went to Brooke and told him what he did. Instead of being happy, Brooke was horrified. Katie found out too and away we go.

Watching this I have to wonder if Bill will end up alone again. He got what he wanted, but now Brooke is on the other side of one of Bill's machinations. Also since Brooke's former love Ridge will return with a recast in December, I have to wonder if she will be drawn again to Mr. Forrester.
