OLTL: Thoughts on Episode 23

Here are my thoughts and a brief summary about episode twenty-three (June 25, 2013) of One Life to Live.

Dani went back to her mother's house to sleep. Tea woke her up on the sofa. Dani explains how Briana's died. Natalie and Bo are talking about how Briana died, but still more tests are needed. Jeffrey and Matthew talk about Michelle who is in the neighborhood as they are.  Jeffrey tells Michelle she needs to show herself. Michelle calls Jeffrey back and they agree to meet at 11 am.  Bo brings Arturo into his office to question him about Briana. Arturo was paying all of Briana's bills and they had a romantic relationship. Bo tells Arturo about how Briana was using and selling drugs. Arturo doesn't know anyone who would want to kill her. Bo asks Blair about Arturo and she mentions how he rented the place for a memorial.

Jack wants to go to the coffee shop before summer school. He then asks if his mom will get back together with Todd. Todd gets a phone call about Victor and says don't kill him until I get there. Jack gets a jelly donut and a coffee. He sees a woman. Jack follows the woman out of the coffee shop after she goes up to his table, closes his laptop and takes it with her.

Blair gets a call from Todd about Victor being at Willow Lake and he has to go. Tea and Dani are having breakfast together, and Blair calls with news about Todd and Victor. Tea lies about what the call was about and says it was due to the shooting at the club.

Shaun shares with Destiny that he is working for Todd Manning again. He wants to give some of his salary to Destiny to help take care of Drew. Destiny tells Shaun that she likes someone even with her busy life.

A montage song is played "It's a War" by Hotel Cinema. Jack is hooking up with the woman from the coffee shop. Todd goes into Victor's place and Todd's friend is dead on the floor. We then see Matthew and Jeffrey at the coffee shop. Matthew is about to order lunch, he turns around and sees Michelle. The music cuts for that moment. Then it comes back and we see Tea and Victor texting.

General thoughts about this episode:

I'm not sure what I think about this episode. Jack and a random woman meet at the coffee shop, go back to her room and have sex. They barely say three words to one another, did Jack hook up with her before or was that the first time. Arturo (Paulo Seganti) wasn't the same man that we saw Briana with in the club. My mental image of Paulo is about 15-20 years out of date as I see him as he was when he was on ATWT during his first stint, but just that's me. I liked that Tea had a kitchen even if Dani slept on a couch.
