Days: Arianna Grace Horton was Born

The newest member of the Horton family made her arrival earlier this month as Arianna Grace Horton was born on Smith Island. As the youngest person in Days of Our Lives' first family, Arianna already has had some strife, though hopefully she will make it out of the hospital in one piece with her parents.

Arianna's mother Gabi (Camilla Banus) was kidnapped along with her husband Nick Fallon (Blake Berris) by Jensen (Derek Magyar). Unfortunately for Gabi, she went into labor while in captured in a rustic cabin. Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) saw what was going on and followed them. They were able to free Gabi, but not Nick, so Will stayed behind to look for his chance. Will overheard exactly what Nick went through in prison, which somewhat explained his negative reaction to Will being gay as Nick had been repeatedly raped by Jensen. Back in Salem, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) found out about what a threat Jensen could be from Vargas (Sean Douglas), and discovered that Jensen was familiar with Smith Island.

While Gabi and Sonny were alone, he delivered his boyfriend's baby in a dark cabin. Gabi and Sonny didn't like one another, but this situation brought them closer together. Hope and some uniform cops reached the island. Unfortunately she was too late, and Will was shot, though she killed Jensen, before he could kill Nick. Will needed surgery, though thankfully he is now okay. Nick brought baby Arianna to Will to meet her father though before he was determined to keep her out of his life. Finally, Nick was starting to deal with his pain and shared his horrid experience with his Aunt Maggie (Suzanne Rogers).

Will and Sonny had a happy reunion, but Nick and Gabi's relationship hit the skids. Nick told Gabi the truth about what happened in prison and that he got involved with her because it was normal. He isn't even sure he loved her, when they got married. Gabi didn't understand why she didn't see it, but he said he hadn't realized it himself. Nick told Gabi that he wanted to provide for her as promised, though she wanted to do it on her own.

Now that Gabi and Will seem to want to raise the baby together, I wonder if any chaos is on the horizon for these two friends. Gabi has accepted that Will is gay and loves his boyfriend Sonny. I hope Gabi's maturity continues, while Will and Sonny stay committed to one another.
